This dark clay and ceramic glazed tea set comprises a small tasting cup, a small aroma cup and a small bamboo tray.
As up to 90% of flavour is perceived through smell, this set is ideal for evaluating the aromas of tea, particularly more fragrant oolongs. Pour the tea into the aroma/ scent cup and then place the tasting cup on top. Carefully turn it over to release the tea into the tasting cup. You can now appreciate the aroma of the tea by sniffing the aroma cup.
Often used as part of the gong fu cha ceremony.
